You will need anodes to protect the drive and propeller against galvanic corrosion, Volvo Penta's anodes are tested and specially produced for Volvo Penta's drive and propeller.

Specifications are, in some cases, stricter than for some other maritime material standards in the world. If 50% or more of the anode has been eaten away by corrosion, replace, once again to fulfill its vital function.

Never put the safety and performance of the system by mounting a not original anode. Remember never to paint over the anodes!
